EU-China cooperation in an age of uncertainty: 4th Policy and Practice Roundtable und 7th Europe-China Forum, Brüssel

Professor Bersick nahm zu Beginn dieser Woche an zwei Veranstaltungen zum Thema "EU-China cooperation in an age of uncertainty" in Brüssel teil. Zu den Organisatoren zählten unter anderem der Think Tank Friends of Europe, das China Institute for Reform and Development (CIRD) und die China Public Diplomacy Association (CPDA). Auf dem 4th Policy and Practice Roundtable am 26. Juni wurde die Vertiefung der Konnektivität im Rahmen der Belt & Road Initiative (BRI, ehemals OBOR) sowie die Investitions- und Handelsströme zwischen der EU und China diskutiert. Während des 7. EU-China Forums am 27. Juni wurden in Anwesenheit von u.a. der EU Handelskommissarin Cecilia Malmström und der chinesischen Botschafterin Yang Yanyi sowie Vertretern aus Politik, Wirtschaft und Zivilgesellschaft die Themen "The Belt and Road Initiative: From vision to action" sowie "Shaping a New World Order: Can China and the EU take the lead?" diskutiert.<br><br>
